CM launches IPR mobile app

Shimla - On completion of two years of the present government, Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh today launched a new Mobile Application (app) for accessing press releases and News Photographs from the website, http://www.himachalpr.gov.in of Public Relations Department on android mobile phones. The application can be downloaded on the mobiles from the website of the department free of cost. The press releases and news photographs once browsed through this app will remain available on the mobile and can be accessed even if the mobile is in offline mode. The app is developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC) and IT Department for the mobile users having android operating system is of great use for the people in general and for the media as a whole and can also be accessed even if the mobile is in offline mode.
As the mobile users have increased with the passage of the time, the app could be accessed from anywhere on the mobiles without help of laptops or desktops. Chief Minister also released two years booklet highlighting the development taken place in the State in the regime of present Government. A developmental documentary was also released by the Chief Minister on the occasion. Chief Minister lauded the efforts of the department for maintaining pace with the latest techniques and said that in the present era of modernization and technology one has to keep himself updated with latest advancements which can contribute towards better communication and achieving the development goals
