Main Styles of NattiNatti is the soul of religious and cultural festivities in addition to marriage ceremonies of Himachal as these occasions are considered incomplete without Natti. Different forms of singing and dancing Natti are prevalent in Chamba, Lahaul & Spiti, Kinnaur, Kullu, Mandi, Solan, Shimla and Sirmaur districts of the state. Nattiword is used for three forms of dance since time immemorial in Himachal as people in most of the districts are following ancient traditions. Natti is performed during various religious festivities associated with local deities. Deities perform dance on shoulders of devaluon whereas hundreds of followers of devi-devtasperform dance in the premises of their temples. Himachal is predominantly a singing state and musical instruments and dance forms play an important role in religious festivities of local deities in Himachal.
