Hailing from a small village Narag in Sirmaur district, Shubham Thakur has registered his successful entry in Mr. ‘North India-2014′ contest. He made his entry into the contest after showing his excellent skills of modeling. He left behind hundreds of contestants and registered his position in top-25. Now he is preparing to win the ‘Mr. North India-2014′ title. Currently he is pursuing B.Tech from L.R. College, Solan. He told Himachal This Week that modeling was his childhood dream and he wants to gain name and fame with this field. He has proved his modeling skills in different modeling competitions. He is presently working with Lime Light Event Company and with the support of this company he had proved his mettle in different national modeling competitions. Shubham is determined to take this field as a career. But for now he is concentrating on ‘Mr. North India-2014′ contest which he wants to win. The final of the contest will be held at New Delhi. Two dancing stars of Himachal are now a step closer to be a part of the entertainment industry. While Siya of Solan has entered in the next round of auditions of reality show ‘Dancing Star, Ab Nachega India’, Archit of Bilaspur has earned certificate of excellence in the popular show ‘Dance India Dance’ (DID). In a special programme that was organised in Chandigarh by the team of DID, Archit Vashishth displayed his dancing talent and got ‘Certificate of Excellence’. Now he is ready to participate in the next level of the show. To judge his performance in Chandigarh there were two DID winners and Master Mudassar Khan. A total of 40 contestants participated in this programme. Now he is preparing for the next level of the programme. Whereas, Siya entered into the next round of ‘Dancing Star’ which will be aired on Zee Jagaran. The 13-years-old Siya also participated in the ‘Dance Himachal Dance’ contest earlier and was one of the finalists of the contest. She has earned several awards in many dance competitions on the state level. Siya will perform on the mega audition show of Dancing Star
Himachalie artists have proved themselves many times on the national and international levels. Some famous personalities of Himachal have gained a name in the Bollywood industry and doing well in all spheres. Mohit Chauhan is excelling in singing, Priety Zinta and Kangna Ranaut in acting and Divya Himachal’s Miss Himachal Purva Rana is shining in the modeling. These all talented artists have brought laurels to the state and there are many more to achieve heights in the industry. The year 2013 was a good year for all the talented Himachalie artists as many were seen on big and small screens. Divya Himachal provided the artists various platform to show their talent in different fields. With ‘Dance Himachal Dance’ and ‘Himachal Ki Awaz’, the youth got platforms to show their skills in dance and singing and now they are determined to flaunt their excellence on the big platforms. Some stars of Himachal are continuously giving their best in their respective fields and making Himachal proud. Shubham Thakur has recently registered his name in the top 25 contestants in ‘Mr. North India-2014′. In a desire to make their successful entries on the small screen and reality shows, the two Himachalie dancers are also ready to show their dancing skills on TV reality shows.
